she hulk release date

While Ms. Marvel is the next MCU Disney Plus show to hit the streamer (June 8th), fans won’t have to wait long for a follow-up. According to a report in Forbes, the She-Hulk release date is set for August 17th, 2022. This comes courtesy of a Disney itself, with the release date unceremoniously listed on the official Disney Plus UK blog, which also includes a new synopsis revealing the exact concept of the show:

This new comedy series sees Bruce Banner help his cousin, Jennifer Walters, when she needs an emergency blood transfusion and guess what? She receives his powers too. Tatiana Maslany will play Jennifer, who is a lawyer specializing in superhuman-oriented legal cases. Mark Ruffalo is back as the Hulk alongside Tim Roth, who plays the Abomination.

What makes She-Hulk a little different from other Marvel shows is that this is set to be a half-hour comedy instead of a dramatic hour-long. Like WandaVision, the tiny glimpse we saw in the Disney sizzle reel released on Disney+ Day back in November promises She-Hulk will have fun with the half-hour sit-com formula. While WandaVision deconstructed family sitcoms, She-Hulk looks like it’s a take-off on legal dramas like Ally McBeal and the seventies version of The Incredible Hulk. Ruffalo even seems to be styled after Bill Bixby (who famously played “David” Banner) in the tiny glimpse we got, although I could be reaching given how little material is out there. Judge for yourself:

While we gotten a full trailer yet, I would expect one fairly soon if the late summer release date is legit. She Hulk co-stars Ginger Gonzaga, Renee Elise Goldsberry and Jameela Jamil.
