Ahead of Yellowjackets Season 2’s production start later this month, Showtime has officially announced the addition of Emmy-nominated actress Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under, Servant), who has been cast to portray the adult version of Van Palmer in the highly-anticipated next installment of the acclaimed survival thriller drama.

This casting also confirms that Liv Hewson’s Van is one of the few survivors who made it back home along with Shauna, Taissa, Natalie, Misty, and Lottie. In addition, Hewson has also been promoted as a series regular for Yellowjackets Season 2.

Yellowjackets currently stars Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Steven Krueger, and Warren Kole.

“Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story, and coming-of-age drama, it tells the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness,” reads the series synopsis. “The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
