Jeffrey Reddick, whose horror credits include Final Destination, Final Destination 2, Tamara, Day of the Dead 2008, Dead Awake, and Don’t Look Back, is teaming up with fellow genre regulars Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) and Dave Sheridan (Victor Crowley) to produce the slasher film New Fears Eve. The movie is coming to us from Blood Moon Pictures and producers P.J. Starks and Eric Huskisson, who previously brought us the anthology films Volumes of Blood, Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories, and 13 Slays Till X-Mas.

Huskisson will also be directing New Fears Eve, which has the following synopsis: As the coming year approaches, three best friends reluctantly prepare for Hooper Industries’ annual New Year’s Eve bash. The clock ticks down and the body count rises as a psychotic murderer known as The Doctor is on the loose. This sadistic surgeon of death leaves Owensboro covered in blood as local police and FBI are forced to navigate through a maze of bodies left in his wake. Unbeknownst to the three best friends, their mandatory party is about to turn deadly when the killer sets his sights on them. December 31 becomes a party to die for when Leslie, Brian, Moses and their colleagues are trapped inside an inescapable building with a bloodthirsty madman hell bent on carving his way to midnight.

Reddick, Rose, and Sheridan all have acting roles in the film, where they are joined in the cast by Hannah Fierman, L.C. Holt, Lily Claire Harvey, Jay Woolston, Alyssa Rhoads, Roni Jonah, and Turner Vaughn, with Jesse MacDonald as The Doctor.

New Fears Eve is being funded through an IndieGogo campaign that has exceeded its $36,570 goal and is now In Demand, so you can still contribute to the budget at THIS LINK. Extra funds will be raised through a “New Fears Eve VIP Party”, where fans will have the chance to meet with Reddick, Rose, and Sheridan. Here’s a description of the event, which is being held in Owensboro, Kentucky: We’ll have trivia, music, and prizes. Come mingle with the local cast and crew of our new production and support the project. Grab a drink at the cash bar. Snack on free finger foods. Party starts at 8 PM and goes until midnight. Out with the old and in with the new as we re-ring in 2023 at an event that is sure to create a sparkling New Year. New adventures are right around the corner. This amazing party will take place Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront. Tickets are $100 or $150 per couple and available through the Blood Moon Pictures website. Must be 21+ to attend. All proceeds from the event will go into the production of New Fears Eve.

Starks told Rue Morgue: “Jeffrey Reddick worked on 13 Slays Till X-Mas, but in a limited capacity due to the pandemic, and we knew we wanted to work together in a more substantial way. When Eric and I started preproduction on New Fears Eve, we instantly knew this was that opportunity. Jeffrey had so many incredible things to say about 13 Slays, so when he asked to come onboard New Fears as a producer, it was very exciting. To know he respects our abilities that much is intensely humbling. Jeffrey will also have a role in the film, so I’m stoked to be working with him on set as well. Right now is a highly stressful time, as we move into scheduling, locking down all the loose ends and whatnot; we’re all just ready to be on set making magic!

How does New Fears Eve sound to you? Let us know by leaving a comment below. I have enjoyed the previous films Starks and Huskisson made and am a fan of several of their collaborators on this one, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the movie is going to turn out.
