About eight months ago, we heard that genre icon Danielle Harris of the Halloween and Hatchet franchises was busy working on a psychological thriller called Anne, with Love, which was being directed by George Henry Horton. Now Deadline reports that Harris and Horton have already wrapped production on another collaboration, the sci-fi thriller Project Dorothy.

Horton wrote the screenplay for Project Dorothy with Ryan Scaringe, crafting a story that picks up

after a botched robbery, watching as two men take refuge in a remote and lifeless scientific facility, inadvertently awakening a monster within. It is a story of cat and mouse against a hyper-sophisticated, nuanced artificial intelligence.

Harris plays that artificial intelligence. She’s joined in the cast by Tim DeZarn (The Cabin in the Woods) and Adam Budron (Night Night), who play the men seeking refuge after the botched robbery. Emily Rafala (Katy Keene) and Olivia Scott (Altered Reality) are in the cast as well.

Project Dorothy is coming to us from Kinogo Pictures and Liberty Atlantic Studios. Scaringe is producing the film for Kinogo Pictures, while Horton produces for Liberty Atlantic Studios. Harris serves as executive producer.

Anything Harris works on has our attention here at Arrow in the Head, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for Project Dorothy news as the project continues moving forward. We’ll also be watching for information on the release of Anne, with Love.

How does Project Dorothy sound to you? Are you interested in this project, and are you a fan of Danielle Harris‘s career? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

My favorite Danielle Harris movie is, and I’m sure will always be, the 1988 classic Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. We covered that film in an episode of our video series Real Slashers a while back (for Halloween, of course), and you can see that episode below:
