Have we just given up on hovercars? I feel like we’ve been promised hovercars for as long as I can remember, but where are they? I’m looking outside right now. I see cars. No hover. Just wheels. It helps if you read that in a Jerry Seinfeld voice. Although hovercars may never become part of our lives, we’ll have to turn to entertainment to scratch that itch. Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Hello Tomorrow!, an upcoming dramedy set in a retro-future world filled with fantastic mid-century hovercars.

Hello Tomorrow! centers around “a group of traveling salesmen hawking lunar timeshares.” Billy Crudup stars as Jack, “a salesman of great talent and ambition, whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers, revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him.” In addition to Billy Crudup, the cast of Hello Tomorrow! includes Haneefah Wood, Alison Pill, Nicholas Podany, Dewshane Williams, Hank Azaria, Matthew Maher, and Jacki Weaver. The series is co-created by Amit Bhalla and Lucas Jansen, who serve as executive producers alongside Billy Crudup, Stephen Falk, Jonathan Entwistle, Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil and Noah Weinstein.

Billy Crudup was last seen in Zack Snyder’s Justice League as Dr. Henry Allen. He was set to reprise the role for The Flash movie but was forced to exit due to scheduling conflicts. Given how long it took to get The Flash off the ground, it’s not exactly surprising. Ron Livingston stepped in to replace him, and the film is finally set to hit theaters on June 16th.

The first three episodes of Hello Tomorrow! will debut on Apple TV+ on February 17th, with subsequent episodes being released weekly. What did you think of the trailer for Hello Tomorrow? Is there room in your life for some retro-future hovercars? Of course there is.
