Peacock has finally unveiled the full trailer for the upcoming second season of the hit drama Bel-Air, which is scheduled to make its return on February 23, 2023. It has also been confirmed that The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum Tatyana Ali will be appearing in the second season as an English teacher.

The Bel-Air Season 2 trailer shows Will trying to live by his own rules by living independently and earning money from street basketball games. It also highlights his dilemma with trying to keep his West Philly identity intact, while also being open to the opportunities that Bel-Air will give him.

Bel-Air Season 2 picks up with Will at a crossroads as a new figure comes into his life who challenges what he’s learned in Bel-Air and competes for control of his influence,” reads the synopsis. “He juggles this while navigating his home life with the Banks family and trying to rebuild the trust that was broken at the end of last season. We’ll see Will and Carlton’s brotherhood start to evolve as they grow closer but still challenge each other about their differences. We’ll also see Hilary evolve as she becomes more of a boss in her influencer world and how that spills over into her relationship with Jazz, and also highlight the relatable struggles around Viv and Phil balancing marriage and family while trying to forge their own career paths and reconnect to the things that are important to them.”

Inspired by Morgan Cooper’s viral video of the same name, Bel-Air reimagines the iconic sitcom as a modern-day drama. It is co-written and directed by Cooper, who is also set as an executive producer.

The reboot stars Jabari Banks, Adrian Holmes (V Wars) as Phillip Banks, Cassandra Freeman (Atlanta) as Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan (Evolution of Nate Gibson) as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones (Vampires vs. The Bronx) as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar (Captain Marvel) as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola (Most Dangerous Game) as Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones (Snowfall) as Jazz, and Simone Joy Jones (The Chair, What If) as Lisa.

Bel-Air is executive produced by T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson, who are serving as showrunners. It is a production by Universal Television and Westbrook Studios. Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Malcolm Spellman, Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and original creators Andy and Susan Borowitz are executive producing.
