Toho Animation has dropped the Spy x Family Code: White trailer for the popular anime series’ first original movie, teasing the Forger family’s next adventure. Following the premiere of Spy x Family Season 2 this coming October, the movie is scheduled to arrive in Japanese theaters on December 22. At the time of writing, the international release dates for Spy x Family Code: White has not yet been announced.

What is Spy x Family about?

Spy x Family is based on the manga written by Tatsuya Endo, which is currently one of the best-selling manga series with at least 29 million copies in circulation since December 2022. It centers around a unique fake family consisting of spy Loid Forger, assassin Yor Briar, and telepath Anya Forger.

“World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet— pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!” the official synopsis from Crunchyroll states.

The anime adaptation hails from Wit Studio and CloverWorks. Written by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, Season 1 ran on-air for 25 episodes from April 2022 to December 2022. It is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
