Warner Bros’ action comedy The Nice Guys hit theaters in 2016. It is set in 1977 Los Angeles, where a girl named Amelia hires a man named Healy to intimidate a PI named March. But after two hitmen try to go after Amelia, March and Healy form an unlikely duo to find and save her. In the film, licensed private investigator and single father Holland March gets hired to look into the alleged suicide of well-known porn star Misty Mountains in 1977. His investigation leads him to find a girl named Amelia. But his search for her brings him across a hired enforcer named Jackson Healey.

However, when Amelia disappears, the two not-so-nice guys are compelled to work together. While looking for her, they face a world full of bizarre goons, come across dancers that look like mermaids, and unravel a possible far-reaching conspiracy.

The Nice Guys is co-written and directed by Shane Black, with Anthony Bagarozzi serving as the film’s other screenwriter. The movie stars Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in the lead as Jackson Healy and Holland March respectively. Other members of the cast include Angourie Rice, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, Keith David, and Kim Basinger.
