Cuba Gooding Jr. and Randy Couture have joined the cast of the action horror movie Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace
Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace, a sequel to the 2020 action horror film called Angels Fallen, has been in production for a while now. Long enough that a teaser trailer, the one in the embed above, was even ready to be released back in early December. But according to Deadline, the movie is still filming – and they’ve just revealed that Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire) and Randy Couture (The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre) are in the cast!
Directed by Ali Zamani, who also crafted the story that Chris Kato fleshed out into a screenplay, Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace will show us what happens when the hero Gabriel rounds up his motley crew of demon slayers, styled as the ‘Warriors of Peace’, to fight an apocalypse-bound army of the dead.
Gooding and Couture join a cast that includes Arifin Putra (The Raid 2), Michael Teh (Blood Redd), Josh Burdett (WarHunt), Lee Kholafai (Glass Jaw), Korrina Rico (Abstraction), Silvio Simac (Man of Tai Chi), Greg Canestrari (Obsession: Dark Desires), William McNamara (Copycat), Caitlin O’Connor (Days of Our Lives), and Ken Davitian (Borat), with Denise Richards (Valentine) as “a tough weapons expert charged with arming Gabriel’s crew.” Details on the characters being played by Gooding and Couture have not been revealed.
Kholafai is producing the film for Eleven Seven Productions, along with Jeff Miller of Millman Productions, Ronnie D Lee of Ron Lee Productions, Djonny Chen of Silent D Pictures, and Zeus Zamani. Andreas Olavarria of Bossa Nova Productions serves as executive producer, along with Keith Leopard, Andreas Olavarria, Said Esfahani, and George J Merino. April Kelley is co-producer.
Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace is coming to us from Uncork’d Entertainment. The company has sold rights for territories in Southeast Asia to Level 33 Entertainment and Silent D Pictures, and a theatrical release is planned for the third quarter of this year. More distribution deals are expected to be secured at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
