Stranger Things Vecna

In the market for a new home? Maybe something with flickering lights, the site of several murders and a connection to the Upside Down? The Creel House aka Vecna’s lair from Stranger Things is now up for sale at a price of $1.5 million

The listing isn’t shy about trying to capitalize on the Stranger Things connection: “The majestic formal dining room where telekinesis is no longer practiced during meals; an adjoining parlor, perfect for playing Dungeons and Dragons; and a living room ideal for hosting meetings of the Hellfire Club.” Do they play “Running Up That Hill” during walkthroughs, too?

The Victorian-style Stranger Things home is far away from Hawkins in Rome–Rome, Georgia, that is, about 70 miles from Atlanta. The home was built around 1882 and offers over 5,000 square feet of space on a one-acre lot. The main house offers five-to-six bedrooms and five bathrooms, while the guesthouse hosts two additional bedrooms and another bathroom. It seems like the perfect fit for Robert Downey Jr. and his family!

Another main feature for Stranger Things fans is the attic, although they describe it as an unfinished third floor. On the upside (down?), “the previous resident of the third floor has since been relocated by a single exterminator — we think.”

The Creel House last sold in 2019 for $350,000, meaning the owners are looking to about quadruple their money. That’s a lot of Eggo waffles.

Vecna’s crib isn’t the only Stranger Things abode that has gone on sale recently. Just this year, the Byers home went on the market; it is currently listed as “under contract” on Zillow with a sale price of $300,000.

Would you ever move into a house like this one featured on Stranger Things? What was your favorite scene from this season featuring the house? Let us know your thoughts below!
