Uncut Gems director Benny Safdie has called Oppenheimer the best movie of Christopher Nolan’s career.

Nolan’s next movie is a historical thriller about J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project, which produced the world’s first nuclear weapons. This film stars Cillian Murphy as the titular character with a star-studded supporting cast that includes Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr., and Rami Malek.

Benny Safdie, co-director of Uncut Gems and Good Time, appears in the movie as theoretical physicist Edward Teller. In a recent Instagram post, he shared an image from the movie and said, “I got to see the movie recently, and I can tell you with certainty: This is Chris’ best movie by far. It’s got everything firing on all cylinders.”

What is the Oppenheimer release date?

The movie is set to release on July 21, 2023, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
