The official Twisted Metal trailer has been released.

This upcoming post-apocalyptic action comedy TV series stars Anthony Mackie and is based on the Sony Interactive Entertainment video game. The show is “about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.”

The show will premiere exclusively on Peacock on July 27, 2023.

The cast includes Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Samoa Joe, Will Arnett, Richard Cabral, Neve Campbell, Mike Mitchell, and Chloe Fineman.

The series is developed by Michael Jonathan Smith. The executive producers and story writers are Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who also wrote the Deadpool movies and the Zombieland films.
