The hit series was initially set to appear on a panel looking ahead to the upcoming Star Wars TV series, but Lucasfilm has recently confirmed that the series will now receive its own headlining panel, with creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni set to make their first appearances at Star Wars Celebration, a fan gathering that debuted in 1999 as a celebration of the Star Wars franchise.

The panel, called Mando+: A Conversation with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, will take place on Saturday, May 28, 2022, and will feature a look back on the past two seasons of The Mandalorian, a look ahead to the third season, and will also see both Favreau and Filoni speaking with special guests.

The Mandalorian recently wrapped production on its third season, which is set to continue the adventures of Din Djarin (Pablo Pascal), a Mandalorian warrior. Pascal’s character also recently appeared throughout the Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett.

The Star Wars series is being led by Pedro Pascal as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Before the new season, Pascal’s Din Djarin previously appeared in last year’s The Book of Boba Fett spin-off. As of now, Carl Weathers and Gian Carlo Esposito are the only returning cast members confirmed for the third season. Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd has also joined the upcoming new season for a guest-starring role.
