The Mandalorian just picked up yet another high-profile actor for its third season, as Christopher Lloyd, most known for his role as Doc Brown in the Back to the Future series, is joining Star Wars show.

The Hollywood Reporter reported on the news, stating that the actor is on the call sheet for the series, which is currently filming in southern California after a reported COVID-19-related hiatus. It’s unknown exactly who he will be playing, but it has been described to THR as a “guest star in nature.” Given how Dave Filoni and company seem to have a penchant for bringing back characters from the animated Star Wars shows, his appearance could be a character from The Clone Wars or Rebels. But, again, the role has yet to be confirmed.

It might be some time until that information is officially announced, as The Mandalorian Season 3 still doesn’t have a release date. After all, Disney is still focusing on its Obi-Wan show, which is premiering on Disney+ on May 25.
