The King of Fighters XV released last month and it is just getting started. SNK revealed that a new character and mode are coming to the game on April 14, 2022. On that date, players can experience the character Omega Rugal and the Boss Challenge mode.

Fans of The King of Fighters series will recognize Rugal as one of the more iconic bosses from the series, and someone who has appeared in nearly every single iteration of the game. The trailer shows him grappling his opponents and shooting eye lasers at them. The Boss Challenge mode fittingly coincides with Rugal’s inclusion and will allow players to go up against a more powered-up version of Rugal, who seems to be extremely formidable.

The first wave of downloadable fighters for the fighting game arrived in March, with the inclusion of Team Garou. Following that, the Team South Town DLC will become available in May, followed by a third team in the summer, and finally the fourth squad of DLC characters in fall 2022. No release information or character details for the last two DLC packs have been revealed as of yet.
