In a previous episode of The Arrow in the Head Show, co-host Lance confessed that he had never seen Wes Craven’s 1989 film Shocker (watch it HERE). Lance has since fulfilled his genre fan duty and watched the film, so in the latest episode of The Arrow in the Head Show he and John “The Arrow” Fallon are finally able to have a conversation about Shocker! To find out what they had to say about the movie, check out the video embedded above.
Written and directed by Craven, Shocker has the following synopsis:
After being captured for a series of gruesome murders, Horace Pinker, a television repairman, faces execution by the electric chair — but a deal with the devil allows him to come back as electricity. Once he changes into his new form, Pinker goes after the detective that brought him down, Lt. Don Parker, as well as Parker’s adopted son, Jonathan. However, Jonathan’s mysterious connection to Pinker through dreams might help track the killer’s moves.
The film stars Mitch Pileggi, Peter Berg, Camille Cooper, Michael Murphy, Sam Scarber, Richard Brooks, Vincent Guasteferro, Ted Raimi, Kane Roberts, and Dr. Timothy Leary.
Here’s some information on The Arrow in the Head Show:
We’re trying something a bit new here on Arrow In The Head. After many years behind the scenes, we’ve decided to take our sarcastic, booze-influenced style into the video age with The Arrow In The Head Show! Hosted by John Fallon aka The Arrow and Lance Vlcek, we will dig into not only the newest horror flicks hitting the big and small screens but also delve into the good, bad, and ugly of horror from the golden ages of the ’80s through the underrated 90s and maybe a bit beyond.
Something groovy and a tad rough around the edges, we are here to talk shop with a drink in hand, a bit of foul language, and a whole lot of heart.
This episode of the show was Edited by Lance, and it was Written by The Arrow and Lance.
