Nintendo has only stated that Splatoon 3 would be releasing in 2022. Now, the company has gone and given a specific release date for the colorful shooter: September 9, 2022. According to its eShop page, the Nintendo Switch exclusive shooter will be $59.99 and allegedly around 6 GB.

The date was revealed through a trailer showing off new Turf War gameplay. It’s unbroken footage of said multiplayer mode, only transferring to another person upon elimination. Players can see some of the new moves like dodging, as well as the crossbow weapon.

And while the video showed a multiplayer match, Nintendo hasn’t unveiled much about its single-player campaign called “Return of the Mammalians” that takes place in the sunny Splatlands. Players did get a peek of it in September 2021 through a trailer, however, and it contained a lot of quick cuts and bizarre imagery.
