“Render”

A canção “Surrender”, do Cheap Trick, foi lançada em 1978. A Rolling Stone chamou-o de o hino adolescente dos anos 70 e incluiu-o em sua lista das melhores canções de todos os tempos. Está em vários filmes e programas de TV, incluindo South Park, Scrubs, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, New Girl, e Guardiões da galáxia. O Cheap Trick foi formado em Rockford, Illinois, em 1973. Eles lançaram 20 álbuns de estúdio, venderam mais de 20 milhões de discos e, em 2016, foram incluídos no Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rick Nielsen é o guitarrista da banda. Ele escreveu “Surrender” e, neste episódio, conversei com ele sobre como a música foi feita.

Between those careers, he’s worked as a deckhand, commercial fisherman, divemaster, taxi driver, construction manager, and over the road truck driver, among many other things. He now lives on a sea island, in the South Carolina Lowcountry, with his wife and youngest daughter. They also have three grown children, five grand children, three dogs and a whole flock of parakeets. Stinnett grew up in Melbourne, Florida and has also lived in the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and Cozumel, Mexico. His next dream is to one day visit and dive Cuba.
