Peacock has dropped the Sick trailer for the forthcoming pandemic-theme slasher horror. The movie follows two best friends whose quarantine vacation at the lake gets interrupted by the appearance of a masked killer. The film will be available for streaming next week on Friday, January 13, exclusively on Peacock.

The video shows leading stars Gideon Adlon and Bethlehem Million as they portray two girls who must fight for survival against a relentless killer during a time when everyone is quarantining in their homes.

Sick is directed by John Hyams (Alone) from screenplay co-written by Katelyn Crabb and Kevin Williamson, who are best known for writing iconic teen slasher films Scream and, in Williamson’s case, I Know What You Did Last Summer. The film is being led by Gideon Adlon (Blockers, The Craft: Legacy), Bethlehem Million (And Just Like That), Marc Menchaca (The Outsider, Ozark) and Jane Adams (Poltergeist, Hacks).

“As the pandemic steadily brings the world to a halt, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone — or so they think,” reads the synopsis.

The film is produced by Kevin Williamson, Bill Block, and Ben Fast. It is a collaboration between Blumhouse and Miramax.
