Following the announcement that he would join the game, fans got their first look at the first official Nicolas Cage Dead by Daylight gameplay trailer.

During Summer Game Fest 2023, the legendary actor appeared on stage to discuss his inclusion in the game. While praising horror, Cage said it was an honor to be invited into the “cool club” of video games, and also talked about how immersive a game like Dead by Daylight is.

Following his appearance, a very brief gameplay trailer for the DLC was shown, highlighting Cage hiding from a killer and escaping in the game.

What do we know about Nicolas Cage coming to Dead by Daylight?

The Nicolas Cage Dead by Daylight DLC was announced earlier this year. Behaviour promised more information on July 5, 2023. Until then, fans will have to speculate on just what Nicolas Cage will do once he arrives in Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight usually partners with specific horror-based brands or franchises. However, the beloved Cage has worked in horror for some time. Most recently, the actor portrayed Dracula in the horror comedy Renfield.

Since its launch in 2016, Dead by Daylight has reached over 50 million global players. The game sees a group of players trying to hide and escape from one killer.

While the game is famous for incorporating a wide variety of horror icons into the game — including characters from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and more — the game does have its own lore and ongoing story.
