The Max schedule for June 19-25 has been confirmed, revealing the new TV shows and moves being added to the streaming service.
On Wednesday, June 21, Max will add The Stroll to its available content. Directed by Kristen Lovell and Zackary Drucker, the upcoming documentary focuses on “The Stroll” in the Meatpacking District of lower Manhattan, a particular area where transgender individuals, particularly transgender women, would gather and socialize. This area provided spaces for transgender people to express their identities and find community support. The Stroll hails from producer Matt Wolf with Carlos King and Scott Shatsky serving as executive producers. Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller, and Sara Rodriguez are executive producing for HBO.
On Thursday, June 22, the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned streamer will release two episodes of Downey’s Dream Cars, hosted by Marvel Cinematic Universe alum Robert Downey Jr. himself. New installments will follow weekly until the final two on July 6. The series follows Downey Jr. as he embarks on a three-year experiment to transform his collection of classic cars into more sustainable options.
“Robert Downey Jr. loves restoring classic cars. But he’s also become dedicated to fighting climate change. So he’s bringing his beloved old cars into the future, making them faster, more powerful, and more efficient while keeping their souls intact.”
The series hails from Boat Rocker’s Matador Content and Team Downey. Downey Jr. is also producing alongside his wife, Susan Downey, and Emily Barclay Ford. The list of executive producers includes Jay Peterson, Todd Lubin, Dave Larzelere, and Kyle Wheeler.
