The Netflix schedule for June 19-25 has been confirmed. Here are the new TV shows and movies coming to the streaming service.
On Friday, June 23, Netflix subscribers can watch The Perfect Find, an upcoming romantic comedy starring Gabrielle Union. Directed by Numa Perrier from a script by Leigh Davenport, the story follows Jenna (Union) falling in love with her boss’s son (Keith Powers). The cast includes Aisha Hinds, DB Woodside, Janet Hubert, Alani “La La” Anthony, and Gina Torres. The Perfect Find premiered at Tribeca Festival.
Union gained widespread recognition for her performance as Isis in the 2000 cheerleading film Bring It On, where she landed her breakthrough role. She followed it up with notable roles in movies such as Two Can Play That Game (2001), Deliver Us from Eva (2003), and Bad Boys II (2003). Her credits include television roles in FlashForward and Being Mary Jane, among others.
This week, Netflix will add plenty of Pokemon content by releasing new Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series installments. Ash and Pikachu are facing some of their toughest challenges in what has been promoted as the beloved characters’ last journey. The upcoming episodes will also likely introduce Liko and Roy, who will replace Ash and Pikachu as the new protagonists of the Pokémon animated series.
