Hulu is releasing some compelling content right before the end of the month.
On Thursday, Aug. 25, the streaming service will debut Mike, the upcoming eight-episode limited series featuring the story of the well-known boxing champion. The series stars Moonlight alum Trevante Rhodes and Russell Hornsby (Creed II). The cast also includes Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier, Li Eubanks, Olunike Adeliyi, and B.J. Minor.
“Mike explores the dynamic and controversial story of Mike Tyson,” reads the synopsis. “The eight-episode limited series explores the tumultuous ups and downs of Tyson’s boxing career and personal life – from being a beloved global athlete to a pariah and back again. Focusing the lens on Mike Tyson, the series examines class in America, race in America, fame and the power of media, misogyny, the wealth divide, the promise of the American Dream, and ultimately our own role in shaping Mike’s story. Mike is an unauthorized and no-holds-barred look at the life of Mike Tyson – and it is one wild ride.”

Additionally, Little Demon will hit the streaming service on Friday, Aug. 26. The series is created and executive produced by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, and Kieran Valla. It will be led by Lucy DeVito, Danny DeVito, and Aubrey Plaza, with Dave Bautista, Mel Brooks, Rhea Perlman, Sam Richardson, Patrick Wilson, Pamela Adlon, and Michael Shannon to guest star.
“Little Demon will center around a reluctant mother and her Antichrist daughter as they attempt to live a normal life in Delaware 13 years after the Devil and the mother conceived a child,” reads the synopsis. “Throughout the series, the duo will have to deal with different monstrous forces, including Satan himself who is looking to gain custody of his daughter.”
