Hogwarts Legacy disappointed some players by not having Quidditch. Any hopes for Quidditch DLC were also dashed. But now Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced a game just about the magical sport by revealing Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, a multiplayer title that’s releasing on PC and unnamed consoles sometime in the future.

Players can sign up for a playtest on the Quidditch Champions‘ website, but it’s not clear when those playtests will begin. The FAQ did have more answers, though. This stand-alone game requires an internet connection and will contain “other broomstick adventures” in addition to the titular sport. Players can also customize their character. It has not been confirmed if it will be free-to-play or not.

Unbroken Studios is developing Quidditch Champions and also created 2018’s vehicular battle royale Fractured Lands, which was just pulled from Steam on April 12. The developer has contributed to the recently delayed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Unbroken has already been working on Quidditch Champions for multiple years, as noted by President of Warner Bros. Games David Haddad.

“Fans have long requested a Quidditch game, and we have been working with Unbroken Studios for several years to create gameplay worthy of their expectations,” said Haddad. “Now we are reaching out to the fans and inviting players into Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions to help us with this phase of building the experience.”
