Mashle: Magic and Muscles Episode 4 Recap

Mashle: The Duelo match begins, but Mash is unable to fly. Tom flies down and tries to give Mash a pep talk. Before Tom returns to the game, an opponent crashes into him, and he gets injured. Tom then tells Mash that winning doesn’t matter as long as you give your all. Mash picks up the broom and uses his legs to pretend to fly. He takes the ball and curves it repeatedly, scoring a 999 by the end of the game. Mash’s team receives silver coins after winning the game.

The following day, Tom tries to get Mash back to Duelo practice, while Lemon tries to get Mash to study with her. Suddenly, Lance Crown appears and traps Finn, Lemon, and Tom inside a bottle. Lance invites Mash to a duel, using silver coins as the prize. Tom and the others are worried for Mash because Lance has two marks, meaning he has greater magical power. Lance uses gravity magic on Mash to keep him on the ground, but Mash grabs the roots to get out.

During the fight, Lance trips and drops a necklace after Mash tries to hit him. Mash finds a picture of Anna, Lance’s little sister. The flashbacks show Anna admiring Lance and then Anna getting a disease that’s taking away her magic power. Once she loses her power, they have to hand her over to the government. With that, Lance is determined to become a Divine Visionary for his sister’s sake. He drops the bottle off a cliff, but Mash uses his speed to catch the bottle. Mash urges Lance to stop the fight, and Lance realizes their similarities. He agrees to stop and hands Mash a silver coin.
