Not long after the conclusion of its second season, Made in Abyss has been confirmed to be receiving a third season through an announcement trailer. The announcement was made as part of an event for the Made in Abyss anime this past weekend (via Anime News Network).
The series follows Riko, an orphan who seeks to explore the mysterious and deadly Abyss as her mother once did. Accompanied by her robotic companion Reg, Riko delves deeper and deeper into the Abyss and faces greater and more fearsome threats.

Season 2 ran from July to September of 2022 and was titled Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun. The series has streamed on Prime Video and HIDIVE in different parts of the world.
