Empire Magazine debuted a brand-new image from the highly anticipated upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, showcasing both Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman standing side-by-side as Thor.

The new photo doesn’t give away much in terms of plot or what to expect but does give fans their first look at both characters in the same shot, both dressed like the mighty God of Thunder. While Thor’s armor looks colored with gold and blue, Portman’s looks much traditional and more geared to how we’ve seen Thor in past Marvel Studios entries.

Speaking of the new powerful addition to the film, director Taika Waiti said in an interview with Empire that meeting Jane after so many years as not just a normal human, but someone worthy enough to wield Mjolnir, won’t come as an easy thing for Thor to understand.

“It’s been about eight years,” Waititi said. “She’s had a whole other life, and then the love of your life comes back on the scene, and is now dressed like you. It’s a real mindf-ck for Thor.”
