Five more stars have been added to the Knuckles cast for the Sonic the Hedgehog Paramount+ spin-off series.

Who has joined the Knuckles cast?

Variety is reporting that Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Stockard Channing (Grease), Paul Scheer (Veep), and Rob Huebel (Childrens Hospital) have all joined the spin-off, though their individual roles are currently being kept under wraps.

The Knuckles series will feature Elba returning to voice the titular Echidna warrior following the character’s live-action debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. In the spin-off, Knuckles agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. It is expected to take place between the events of the sequel and the upcoming third installment, which arrives in theaters on December 20, 2024.

The project hails from head writer and executive producer John Whittington, with Sonic the Hedgehog director Jeff Fowler helming the pilot episode. Joining Fowler in the directing lineup are Brandon Trost, Jorma Taccone, and Carol Banker.

Brian Schacter and James Madejski have also been tapped as writers. Executive producers are Elba, Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, and Toru Nakahara, with Paramount Pictures and Sega of America producing.
