HBO has released the full The Righteous Gemstones Season 3 trailer for the upcoming return of the religious comedy. The return of Danny McBride’s hit series slated to premiere on June 18 on HBO and Max with the first two episodes.

The video shows the Gemstones siblings struggling to bear the weight of the crown following their father’s retirement from the mega-church. The trio schemes how to earn the people’s trust, and prove they’re the right ones to lead the church. In order to do this, they must first grow up and overcome their differences.

What The Righteous Gemstones Season 3 is about?

The Righteous Gemstones is led by Danny McBride, who also serves as the creator, writer, and director of the series. Joining him are John Goodman as Eli Gemstone, Adam DeVine as Kelvin Gemstone, Edi Patterson as Judy Gemstone, Tony Cavalero as Keefe Chambers, Cassidy Freeman as Amber Gemstone, Skyler Gisondo as Gideon Gemstone, Walton Goggins as Billy Freeman, Greg Alan Williams as Martin Imari, Tim Baltz as BJ Barnes and more.

“It tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work,” reads the synopsis for Season 3. “When the spoiled Gemstone children finally get their wish to take control of the Church, they discover leadership is harder than they imagined and that their extravagant lifestyle comes with a heavy price.

The Righteous Gemstones is a production by Rough House Pictures. McBride, David Gordon Green, Jeff Fradley, Jody Hill, Brandon James, John Carcieri, are executive producers.
