A lot of classic horror movies can be found on the free streaming service Tubi, and recently Tubi has also gotten into the business of making their own horror movies. A few months ago, they teamed up with The Asylum to bring the world a movie called Titanic 666. Their latest Tubi Original is a horror film called Tow, starring genre icon Kane Hodder. Hodder has played slashers like Jason Voorhees, Victor Crowley, and Leatherface, and in this one he’s playing a killer called The Mechanic. You can check out the trailer for Tow in the embed above. Our friends at Bloody Disgusting got the first look at the trailer.

Tow is the feature directorial debut of Vanessa Alexander, who was working from a screenplay written by Jesse Mittelstadt (No Escape Room) and Hodder’s co-star Caitlin Gerard. The film tells the following story:

Maddie and Abi (Gerard) are twin sisters, and famously the only victims to ever escape the notorious serial killer known as The Mechanic (Hodder). Years after their near escape, The Mechanic is finally scheduled to be executed for his horrific crimes, but what should be a moment of closure for the sisters ends up unleashing something far more insidious. As they try to leave behind the trauma of their experience, their connection to The Mechanic haunts them and begins to slowly take over their minds.

Gerard executive produced Tow alongside Neil Elman, Hannah Pillemer, and Fernando Szew. The film was produced by Autumn Federici, Jake Helgren, Lauren Hood, and Elizabeth Hood. David Brown Massey and Michael Meilander are co-executive producers, and MarVista was a partner.

Anything that cast Hodder as a madman has my attention, so I will definitely be checking Tow out at some point. Will you be watching this one? If so, let us know what you thought of it by leaving a comment below.

Tow is already available to watch on Tubi.
