The Kill Room, Joe Manganiello

Deadline has reported that Joe Manganiello has joined the cast of The Kill Room alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman.

The Kill Room is a darkly comedic thriller that will chart the story of a hitman, his boss, and an art deal whose money-laundering scheme accidentally turns the hitman into an overnight avant-garde sensation forcing the art dealer to play the art world against the underworld. Joe Manganiello will play the hitman with Samuel L. Jackson playing the boss and Uma Thurman playing the art dealer. Nicol Paone will direct The Kill Room from a script by Jonathan Jacobson and the film will start shooting this spring in New Jersey and New York. The project will be on sale at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. Joe Manganiello took to Twitter to express his excitement for The Kill Room.

The film is generating excitement due to the team-up between Pulp Fiction stars Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman, and director Nicol Paone is definitely a fan. “Getting to make The Kill Room — an already incredible script — with Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson, is beyond my wildest dreams,” Paone said. “Every moment they’re on screen, they are both enviable and eye-catching. I am eternally grateful to both of them for saying yes, and I am thrilled to bring this to life alongside Anne Clements and Yale Productions.” Joe Manganiello can currently be seen in Netflix’s Metal Lords, a film written by Game of Thrones‘ D.B. Weiss which follows two heavy metal-loving friends who try to join forces with a cellist in order to win the Battle of the Bands.
