The new Mattel movie starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken is arriving in theaters. Audiences may be wondering if there is a Barbie post-credits scene or anything after the credits at all.

Is there a Barbie post-credits scene?

No, there is no Barbie post-credits scene, and there is nothing after the credits. Audiences do not have to stay throughout the entirety of the credits.

However, rumors remain circulating about a Ken spin-off movie starring Gosling as the lead character. He appears in this film as Ken, who joins Barbie on her adventure of self-discovery to the real world. Director Greta Gerwig was asked about the spin-off, but did not confirm nor deny its existence.

The film stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Hari Nef, Will Ferrell, Helen Mirren, Dua Lipa, and more.

“Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land,” reads the official synopsis. “However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.”

The movie is directed by Greta Gerwig, who previously helmed films like Lady Bird and Little Women. She co-wrote the script with her partner Noah Baumbach, who has also written and directed films like Marriage Story, White Noise, and Frances Ha. The movie is produced by David Heyman (Harry Potter, Paddington, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Margot Robbie (Bombshell, Birds of Prey), Tom Ackerley (I, Tonya, Promising Young Woman), and Robbie Brenner (Dallas Buyers Club, Escape Plan).

Barbie releases in theaters on Friday, July 21, 2023, by Warner Bros. Pictures. This is another collaboration between Robbie and Warner Bros. after The Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey.
