Platonic season 1 follows the story of former best friends Will and Sylvia. Now estranged, the two reconnect as adults and try to mend their rift after a falling out. The friends try to help each other through life in their own unique ways. Will they remain friends this time around?

This Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen comedy debuted on May 24, 2023, on Apple TV+. Three episodes were released at premiere; since then, a new episode has released every week. The cast also includes Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Carla Gallo, Andrew Lopez, Alisha Wainwright, Guy Branum, Janet Varney, Emily Kimball, and Vinny Thomas.

The official synopsis reads:
A platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) reconnect after a long rift. The duo’s friendship becomes more consuming – and destabilizes their relationship in a hilarious way.

It’s hard to predict how Platonic will end. However, the trailer promises plenty of drama and comedy as Will and Sylvia find their way to each other’s hearts. It will be interesting to watch whether the pair remain friends by the end of season 1.
