A bunch of comedies, including Evan Almighty, will hit HBO Max as part of the schedule for March 27-April 2.
On Saturday, April 1, the streaming service will add Evan Almighty to its available content. Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) is a newly elected Congressman who is asked by God (played by Morgan Freeman) to build an ark in preparation for a great flood. The 2007 comedy film directed by Tom Shadyac is a spin-off of the 2003’s Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success, grossing over $173 million worldwide.
