Disney has released the Haunted Mansion trailer and poster for the upcoming family adventure movie, which will release in theaters on July 28. Described as a “frighteningly fun adventure,” the two-minute video features Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost.

“Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, Haunted Mansion is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters,” says the logline.

Who is in the Haunted Mansion cast?

Haunted Mansion stars Jared Leto, Jamie Lee Curtis, Winona Ryder, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Tiffany Haddish, LaKeith Stanfield, and Hasan Minhaj. It will be directed by Justin Simien (Dear White People) from a screenplay written by Katie Dippold (Parks and Recreation).

Haunted Mansion is being produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich (Aladdin) of Rideback. Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman will serve as executive producers.

The titular theme park was first adapted into the 2003 film, which starred Eddie Murphy as a workaholic realtor who, along with his family, gets trapped inside a mansion inhabited by ghosts. While it received negative reviews, the movie was a box office success bringing in $182 million on a $90 million budget.
