Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t saying never when it comes to Pepper Potts’ MCU future, although she thinks she may be done in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Paltrow’s character Pepper Potts has been a mainstay in the MCU for some time. However, following the death of Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame, we haven’t seen too much of her.

Speaking to fellow MCU co-star Scarlett Johansson on the latest episode of The Goop Podcast (via Variety), Paltrow said she thinks she may be done with the world of Marvel but acknowledged she could always be asked back.

“I think so,” Paltrow said when asked if she was done with Marvel movies. “I mean, I didn’t die so they can always ask me.” After Johansson said that Potts may come back at some point, Paltrow then joked about the possibility of a much older Pepper Potts appearing in the films.

“Really?” said Paltrow. “A 64-year-old Pepper Potts? How great.”

Paltrow played Pepper Potts in a variety of films throughout the first three phases of the MCU, including all three Iron Man movies. She also appeared in 2012’s The Avengers, 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, and both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which has been her last appearance in the MCU as of now. Most recently, Paltrow appeared in the 2022 biographical drama She Said, where she appeared as herself in a small voice role.
