Paramount+ announces a November release date for Good Burger 2, the long-awaited sequel starring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
Order up! The release date of Good Burger 2 has been announced by Paramount+, with the sequel set to premiere exclusively on the streaming service on November 22nd in the U.S. and Canada. The film will launch on Paramount+ in the UK and Australia on November 23rd and will be available in additional international markets shortly after.
The sequel “follows Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) and original cashier Ed (Kel Mitchell), as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees. Dexter is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.“
In addition to Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, Good Burger 2 stars Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) as Cecil McNevin, Jillian Bell (Murder Mystery 2) as Katt Boswell, Kamaia Fairburn (Blockbuster) as Mia, Alex R. Hibbert (The Chi) as Ed2, Fabrizio Guido (Perry Mason) as Mr. Jensen, Elizabeth Hinkler (The Good Doctor) and Emily Hinkler (The Good Doctor) as Cindy and Mindy and Anabel Graetz (Free Guy) as Ruth. The film also includes original All That series cast members who are reprising their roles: Josh Server as Fizz and Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon, as well as Carmen Electra as Roxanne.
“I can’t believe it’s been a little over 25 years since great customer service was born at Good Burger!” Thompson said in a statement earlier this year. “Being a part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made me so proud and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is surreal! Love performing with my brother Kel and can’t wait to show the fans what these characters have been up to since we last saw them.” In his own statement, Mitchell added, “Ed is one of those timeless characters that has brought so much joy and laughter to fans, and it’s such a beautiful blessing to still be doing it after all these years. It’s super awesome to come back and continue the stories of Dex, Ed, and Good Burger for both the people who grew up watching and their kids.“
Once again, Good Burger 2 has been slated for a November 22nd release on Paramount+.
