Universal Pictures has released an official trailer for Ticket to Paradise, the forthcoming romantic comedy starring Oscar winners George Clooney and Julia Roberts. The film is slated to make its debut in theaters on October 21.

The Ticket to Paradise trailer, which you can check out below, features Clooney and Roberts as divorced exes who are trying to work together in an attempt to stop their daughter from marrying someone she has just met.



Ticket to Paradise will find Clooney and Roberts playing a divorced couple. When they learn that their daughter Lily wants to marry a Balinese local that she has just met on vacation, they quickly team up and travel to Bali in order to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they think they made 25 years ago.

The film is directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Daniel Pipski. Clooney and Roberts also serve as producers through their respective production companies, Red Om Films and Smokehouse Pictures. Filming took place in Australia.

Producers are Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner along with Smokehouse Pictures’ Grant Heslov, Red Olm Films’ Lisa Gillian, and Marisa Yeres Gill, Sarah Harvey and Deborah Balderstone. Universal’s Senior Executive Vice President of Production Erik Baiers and Director of Development Lexi Barta will oversee the project on behalf of the studio.
