The incredible Friday the 13th franchise documentary Crystal Lake Memories (buy a copy HERE) was released nine years ago, but apparently certain aspects of the release have been lagging behind in the UK. The documentary, which has a runtime of 6 hours and 40 minutes, was just recently given a digital and Blu-ray in the UK, and according to director Daniel Farrands this is the first time it has been available on those formats there. So if you can to pick up a copy of the brand new UK Blu-ray release of Crystal Lake Memories, you can do so at THIS LINK.

Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th was inspired by Peter M. Bracke’s critically-acclaimed book of the same name and

takes viewers behind the mask on an epic journey into the making of the landmark horror franchise – from its humble beginnings in 1980 at a New Jersey summer camp to the blockbuster release of its 2009 ‘reboot’. Combining hundreds of rare and never-before-seen photographs, film clips, outtakes, archival documents, conceptual art and behind-the-scenes footage, and featuring interviews with more than 150 cast and crew members spanning all twelve films and the television series, CRYSTAL LAKE MEMORIES is the ultimate tribute to one of horror’s most iconic and enduring franchises.

The Crystal Lake Memories documentary is a must-see for all hardcore fans of the Friday the 13th franchise, so if you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend that you seek it out as soon as possible. Friday the 13th is my favorite franchise, so I’m very grateful to have both this documentary and Bracke’s book to hear the stories of what went into the making of these movies I love.
