Meg 2: The Trench Ruby Rose

Does Ruby Rose return in Meg 2: The Trench?

Ruby Rose’s Jaxx doesn’t return in Meg 2: The Trench.

Fans of the famous Australian actress might be disappointed to learn Meg 2: The Trench doesn’t feature any scenes involving Jaxx. Rose’s absence was expected since the actress wasn’t mentioned in any promotional material. Still, many fans hoped to see Rose appear as a cameo, at the very least, since Jaxx is a popular character.

In 2018’s The Meg, Jaxx is an engineer at the Mana One station. The character survived the events of the movie, and fans can see the character drinking coffee after the megalodon is killed at the end of the film. Jaxx would have fit the latest adventures of Jonas (Jason Statham) and the others.

Why Isn’t Ruby Rose in Meg 2: The Trench?

The actress has never released an official statement about the absence in Meg 2: The Trench.

And the same goes for the Meg 2 producers. Whether it was due to the actress’ schedule or the parties failing to reach an agreement, or something else, that’s up to speculation. Jaxx isn’t the only character from the 2018 sci-fi movie who didn’t return in the sequel. Other noticeable absences are Jessica McNamee‘s Lori and Li Bingbing’s Suyin, in addition to Robert Taylor’s Dr. Heller (whose absence is justified, though). Meg 2: The Trench does feature the return of Jason Statham as Jonas Taylor and Cliff Curtis, James “Mac” Mackreides, and Page Kennedy as DJ.
