Flora Nolan, daughter of Christopher Nolan, will make a cameo appearance in Oppenheimer.

Nolan’s upcoming historical thriller stars Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer. This movie tells “the story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.” It is one of the most widely anticipated movies of the year from the director of The Dark Knight, Inception, and Interstellar.

The director recently shared a story of how his daughter Flora visited the set of Oppenheimer while on her spring break from college. He then asked Flora if she wanted to fill in the vacant role of a woman who gets her face burned off in a vision. “We needed someone to do that small part of a somewhat experimental and spontaneous sequence,” Christopher Nolan says, “so it was wonderful to just have her sort of roll with it.”

“The point is that if you create the ultimate destructive power, it will also destroy those who are near and dear to you,” Nolan continues. “So I suppose this was my way of expressing that in what, to me, were the strongest possible terms.”

Did Japan ban Oppenheimer?

No, Japan has not yet banned Oppenheimer. There is no word on whether they will, due to the film’s historical subject matter surrounding the atomic bomb.
