Universal Pictures has revealed the Night Swim release date for the upcoming horror thriller movie from director Bryce McGuire.

Night Swim‘s release date has been moved up to Friday, January 5, 2024. The horror movie was originally set to release on Friday, January 19, 2024, meaning the release date has been pushed forward a total of two weeks.

The upcoming movie is based on Bryce McGuire’s 2014 short film and will be led by Wyatt Russell and Oscar and Golden Globe nominee Kerry Condon. Universal and Blumhouse describe the plot as centering “on a hidden source of terror in an iconic backyard swimming pool.”

Night Swim will be directed and written by Bryce McGuire (Baghead) and Rod Blackhurst, with James Wan (SawInsidiousThe Conjuring) set to produce the project alongside Jason Blum. The movie will be executive produced by Michael Clear and Judson Scott for Wan’s Atomic Monster and by Ryan Turek for Blum’s Blumhouse.
