Prime Video has dropped the official Night Sky trailer for its upcoming sci-fi drama series, starring Oscar winners Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons. All eight episodes will be available for streaming on Friday, May 20.

Night Sky is written and created by Holden Miller. The series stars Spacek (Castle Rock), Simmons (Goliath), Chai Hansen (The 100), Adam Bartley (Longmire), Kiah McKirnan, and more.

“Spanning space and time, it follows Irene and Franklin York, a couple who, years ago, discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet,” reads the synopsis. “They’ve carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man  enters their lives, the Yorks’ quiet existence is quickly upended…and the mystifying chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined.”

Night Sky is executive produced by Miller, Daniel C. Connolly, Jimmy Miller, Sam Hansen, and Philip Martin. It is a co-production of Amazon Studios and Legendary Television.

The director lineup includes Juan José Campanella, Philip Martin, Robert Pulcini, Shari Springer Berman, Sara Colangelo, Jessica Lowrey, and Victoria Mahoney.
