A Zoey 101 movie is officially in the works at Nickelodeon, according to a recent report from Variety.

A sequel movie to the former hit show at Nickelodeon has reportedly begun production, with Jamie Lynn Spears set to reprise her role as the titular character. The film, currently titled Zoey 102, will also see former cast members Erin Sanders (“Quinn Pensky”), Sean Flynn (“Chase Matthews”), Matthew Underwood (“Logan Reese”), Christopher Massey (“Michael Barrett”), Abby Wilde (“Stacey Dillsen”), and Jack Salvatore (“Mark Del Figgalo”) all return in their former roles.

According to the report, the new film will “reintroduce fans to the Pacific Coast Academy alumni as they reunite for a wedding in the present day.” Variety goes on to mention that production on the film has already begun, with a premiere slated for later this year. The film will exclusively stream on Paramount+.

“I’m beyond thrilled to be back alongside my PCA family and continue the story of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love. As an executive producer, it’s been an exciting opportunity to work with such incredible talent as well as Paramount+ and Nickelodeon,” said Spears in a statement.

The original Zoey 101 series premiered in 2005 and ran for four seasons. It starred Spears in the titular role of Zoey Brooks, a student at a fictional boarding school in California. Since its ending, fans and the cast of the series have tried numerous times to get a revival of some sort off the ground.
