Shazam! Fury of the Gods is better than I could have ever anticipated. In fact, I loved this sequel (our review drops Wednesday). It helps that David F. Sandberg has the ability to balance action and comedy, with a bit of horror inspiration. And it’s also fantastic to see Meagan Good, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, and DJ Cotrona bring the charm. And Grace Caroline Currey is a delight as young and “superhero” Mary. Add to that the talents of Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler, and you have something special.

Recently, we had the opportunity to chat with this incredible group of actors. First up, it’s always great to talk with Jack Dylan Graham, who once again steals the show with his hilariously charming performance. And talking with Grazer and Angel together happened to be a very fine time. The two talked about the relationships in the film, and just how nice Asher’s suit was. It was a very nice suit. These two fellas are incredible engaging, and it was a real joy speaking with them.

As for Zachary Levi, I’ve always appreciated talking with this very funny man. And it was terrific catching up on Shazam’s latest adventures, and what this journey has been like for Mr. Levi. We also spoke with the terrific Grace Caroline Currey, DJ Cotrona, and Ross Butler, and it was yet another really fun interview. And speaking of fun, both Meagan Good and Adam Brody were terrific, both in the film and in the interview. The two talked about what they learned from their younger counterparts. The energy that this group of actors brought to the press day made for a terrific day of in-person interviews – slowly but surely, they are returning.

Finishing up, I had a terrific conversation with both Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler. The two opened up about playing two of the three Daughters of Atlas. And of course, what it was like working with the legendary Helen Mirren. Not only was the cast excited to talk about the new film, they also happen to create an impressive ensemble in Sandberg’s exciting return to Shazam! Check out Fury of the Gods this Friday at a theatre near you.
