The official trailer for Women Talking, the upcoming drama film by Sarah Polley, has been released. The film is an adaptation of Miriam Toews’ novel. The movie will release in limited theaters this December.

“Women in an isolated religious colony struggle to reconcile with their faith after a series of sexual assaults,” reads the film’s synopsis.

Women Talking is directed by Sarah Polley. It stars Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Rooney Mara , Sheila McCarthy, Judith Ivey, Michelle McLeod, Kate Hallett, and Ben Whishaw. Frances McDormand also appears in the film and is also an executive producer. The movie will release in limited theaters this December.
