After the first part became a box office hit for Sony, Uncharted 2 was always expected to happen. It is understandable why both the studio and fans would want to see a sequel. But is there a release date for Uncharted 2 movie yet? If yes, then when is it coming out?

Here’s all the Uncharted 2 release date information we have so far and the details on when it is coming out.

Is there an Uncharted 2 movie release date?

Uncharted 2’s release date could arrive by 2026.

Sony has not officially announced a sequel yet. But the first film went on to make $401 million worldwide, and it also became a streaming hit on Netflix. So, we surely expect Uncharted 2 to be greenlit. In the past, Tom Holland has denied a return for the sequel. But since Uncharted has been his only big success outside of the MCU, he might change his mind about the sequel.

Sony recently booked a June 27, 2025 release date, which is supposed to be allotted to Spider-Man 4. So, in the coming year, Tom Holland will be busy with his next Spider-Man sequel. He is also attached to an Astaire biopic movie. So, we can deduce that Holland may not have time to film an Uncharted sequel until 2025. Hence, it is likely that Sony will schedule the film for 2026 if it is indeed going to happen.

This date is an estimation based on the information we have so far. ComingSoon will provide an update to this story once we receive official details.

Uncharted had a cliffhanger ending where Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and Sully (Mark Wahlberg) were caught in a tough situation right after they stole a map that belonged to Gage (Pilou Asbæk). So, if and when a sequel happens, we expect to see the return of all these characters along with some new faces. Furthermore, Chloe Frazer (Sophia Ali) should also return.

Where is Uncharted 2 coming out?

Uncharted 2 is anticipated to come out in theaters in 2026.
