FX has revealed the first official What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 poster.

The poster for Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi‘s supernatural comedy teases the return of Matt Berry’s Laszlo and Harvey Guillén as Guillermo. The next installment in the mockumentary series is scheduled to air on July 13.

Season 5 premieres after almost a year since What We Do in the Shadows wrapped up its 10-episode fourth season. The season ended with Guillermo abandoning his life as an underappreciated familiar, as he asked Derek to turn him into a vampire.

What to Expect in What We Do in the Shadows Season 5?

“In Season 5, Nandor feels his familiar (and sometimes friend) Guillermo slipping away as he seems to be spending much more time with Laszlo, whose skills as a gentleman scientist are put to the test as he tries to solve the mystery of the strange and very secret changes Guillermo is going through,” reads the synopsis. “Nadja, suffering the effects of a previously-undiagnosed supernatural hex, reconnects with her family – or at least, a family – from the Old Country, Colin pursues the path of so many energy vampires before him by running for political office and The Guide tries to figure out where she fits in as the relative newcomer to this tightly-knit group who’ve known each other for centuries.”

Based on Waititi’s 2014 vampire mockumentary, What We Do in the Shadows centers around three ancient vampires. The bloodsuckers live together in Staten Island with their loyal familiar, Guillermo. The series stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillen, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal.

The series is written and executive-produced by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. It is executive produced by Clement, Waititi, Paul Simms, Stefani Robinson, Sam Johnson, Garrett Basch, and Eli Bush. It is produced by FX Productions.
