The Westworld Season 4 trailer has surfaced online. While a release date wasn’t attached to the upcoming return of the popular HBO series, the two-minute video features plenty of shocking visuals.

Westworld is a dystopian sci-fi drama, based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 film of the same name. It is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth. It centers around a technologically-advanced amusement park, where human-like android hosts are programmed to fulfill each high-paying guests’ wants and desires.

The series stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, and Rodrigo Santoro. They were joined by Aaron Paul, Lena Waithe, Marshawn Lynch, and Vincent Cassel in the third installment.

The Emmy-winning series is created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, who are also serving as executive producers with J.J. Abrams, Richard J. Lewis, Roberto Patino, Athena Wickham, and Ben Stephenson.

Westworld comes from production companies Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
