An official clip from the Season 2 finale of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head on Paramount+ features Tracy Grandstaff’s return as Daria.
TVLine has exclusively revealed the clip from Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head Season 2, Episode 12, which hits Paramount+ on Thursday, June 29. Titled “Sentenced to Death,” the clip sees Smart Beavis and Smart Butt-Head being put on trial for their various crimes. Smart Daria serves as one of the giant-headed judges, with Grandstaff reprising her iconic role for the first time in over 20 years.

Grandstaff originated the role of Daria Morgendorffer in the original iteration of Beavis and Butt-Head, which premiered on MTV in 1993. Grandstaff reprised her role for the spin-off series Daria, which itself ran on MTV for five seasons and two television films from 1997 to 2002. Until now, the second of these two films — Is It College Yet? — marked Grandstaff’s final performance as Daria. The character did briefly appear in the 2022 Paramount+ film Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, though her cameo was a non-speaking one.
The Beavis and Butt-Head universe lives on
Following its initial premiere in 1993, MTV’s Beavis and Butt-Head went on to run for seven seasons through 1997. Additionally, a theatrically-released feature film titled Beavis and Butt-Head Do America bowed in 1996. After 14 years off the air, MTV revived Beavis and Butt-Head for an eighth season in 2011. Paramount+ brought the the series back once more in 2022, re-christening it “Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head.” The revival kicked off with the aforementioned Do the Universe, with the first full new season dropping shortly after.
What’s more, the spin-off Daria franchise is also do for a comeback. An animated film centering on Daria character Jodie Landon is currently in the works. The revival project was previously being developed as a Comedy Central series (much like Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head) before being reworked into a feature. Tracee Ellis Ross will voice Jodie in the film, taking over the role from original actor Jessica Cydnee Jackson.
